My Story:
Dora was rescued from the Coffeyville, Kansas flood and oil spill.

Note from foster dad:
Dora is a beautiful soul with a great disposition. She is a good walker and loves to play. Chase is her favorite game she also plays a good game of fetch. Dora’s other favorite thing to do is cuddle; she always seems to find a way to wiggle in your lap. Dora has been highly socialized since coming into the MABBR program and shows no aggression towards anyone or any dog. She plays well with all dogs big or small and loves to go on walks. Dora knows how to sit, lay down and is working on stay. She is a very loving and affectionate dog, always wanting to be in your lap or lying near you and full of kisses. She is good around kids but still is learning how big she is so, at times of excitement, may still jump (but we are working very diligently on this). She would be an excellent pet for anyone and do well in a home with a brother to play with. She does require exercise she is still very young (around a year) it seems to be very helpful in maintaining her relaxed personality and her willingness to please.

Note from Dora:

Hi! Hola!

My name is Dora, and I am quite the explorer. My adventure started when it rained heavily in the town where I lived. Can you say “muchas aguas”? Our town was flooding, so I started paddling (dog paddling, that is) to higher ground. There I met my two friends “dos amigas” Marvel and Aaliyah. We were cold, tired, and scared. We were rescued and taken to a shelter. I don’t understand why our families never came to get us. Fortunately, the Humane Society helped the three of us to get to Kansas City, where MABBR offered to help us find new homes “casas”. Now, I’m looking for a family “familia” to love me fur-ever. I’m just so happy to be alive. My foster Dad is working on fine tuning my manners. I get along well with other dogs “perros”. Let’s get together and build something from the ground up-a relationship!

Until later “hasta luego”,

Dora

Dora is a total delight. Everyone she meets raves about this precious little girl. She is well mannered and does her best to do exactly what is asked of her. She is a quick learner and is going to make a lucky family a terrific companion.
