| Meet Fiona, a charismatic
and intelligent puppy who is ready to make your lap her home!
Fiona, 5 months old as of May 2009, found herself in a local animal
shelter, through no fault of her own. Because of her stunning looks
and personality, she captured the hearts of all of the shelter staff.
They fell in love with her and worked very hard to get her into
a foster home so she would not be euthanized simply because of her
breed.
Even though Fiona is very interested in the world around her, many
things are scary to her right now. From what we can tell, Fiona
was abandoned outside and has never experienced the luxuries of
soft bedding, carpet, a warm lap and loving touches. She is a very
brave girl and trying her best to trust humans. Fiona finally is
learning that all good things come from people, which seems to be
a new concept to her! However, she eats up all of the attention
she gets and loves sitting next to you, as she is a true snuggle
bunny. It seems as if she is trying to make up for the first part
of her life where she didn't receive much attention, love and affection.
Fiona has found a cozy foster home. She is gaining weight and thriving,
however, she is longing for a permanent home to call her own.
It’s been such a pleasure to watch the world through Fiona’s
eyes. So many things are new to her, like walking on hardwood floors
and climbing stairs! She is so curious about everything and perks
her ears right up to investigate.
This little puppy is also quick to learn everything! She is doing
well with “potty”, “crate”, “fetch”
and “sit.” She learned “fetch” in just a
few minutes! She is learning to sit patiently for pats. She responds
very well to verbal praise as she is very motivated to please her
humans.
She lovingly carriers around her stuffie, Baby. She won’t
go anywhere without it!
You can’t pass up on this adorable little lady! She will
bring joy and love to your home, just as she has done for us in
a short period of time.
