Hammy was Adopted!

Nicknames: Hamster, Ham Sandwich, Hammy, Ham and Cheese, Hungry Hungry Hammy

About Me: I am one of the three puppies that MABBR was able to save from the litter of 10. I went into foster care at 4 weeks old and it definitely took some adjusting. My foster mom fed me with formula for the first week she had me, and I have since switched to wet puppy food (which i LOVE). I spent the first week in a crate crying and it sounded like I was screaming "OW OW OW" and it made my foster parents giggle. I was able to spend Thanksgiving home with my foster parents, and they let me stay out of my crate the entire time they're home because I am such a mellow guy. Honestly, if they walk away from me, they come back in the room and ill be asleep on a dog bed all by myself. Potty training is another story, I am getting it. I learned that when I go out side, I have to potty. Give me a break, I am 5 weeks old! I am smart as a whip, I dont soil my crate (unless I have to) and I LOVE other dogs.I am currently 5 weeks old and I will be getting my first round of shots next week. I will need my second round of puppy shots, soon after. I can get neutered as soon as my vet gives me the go ahead and then I can come home with you!

My life is pretty dull right now because I have no shots and my foster mom wont risk taking me anywhere. Okay, they did take me to the Doggie Style Bowtique, but I had to stay in my dads sweatshirt the entire time. I like to sleep, eat and sleep. I do that 90% of my time. All of my foster siblings love me, even the crochety old Pokey who hates foster puppies- She LOVES me. Everyone here looks out for me, and I am starting to get a case of the small dogs complex. That should go away with time because I am growing like a weed. I am very independent, and I like to spend time alone just relaxing, sleeping and chewing on a dog toy. My teeth just grew in, and I am learning that if I nuzzle too hard, I hurt people. I love to be affectionate with my mouth, by lightly chewing on hands and noses, but these teeth sure get in the way. My foster mom wont let me do that anymore.

I am pretty much a stand up guy. I am easy going, sweet and good natured. I have had play dates with my sister Mona, and do well with her (even though she picks on me). I should do well in pretty much any household, with cats, dogs and kids. As soon as I am of age, my foster mom will take me to the dog park to socialize me. She hopes I am adopted by then though, because look at me... IM FRIGGIN ADORABLE! My foster mom thinks I will be a perfect dog when I grow up, and the way she likes to prove that is by taking pups to the dog park to get as much exposure as possible from a very young age. I am curled up in her lap right now, begging you to bring me home. I need a family, and ever family needs a Hamilton!
