About Lacey:

My name is Lacey and I am about three years old. I was dropped off at a vet’s office back in October in terrible shape and my owner never came back to get me. Guess it’s a good thing because they fell in love with me there and nursed me back to health. They wanted me to find a good home so they contacted MABBR.

Now I’m in a great foster home and I have five other foster brother and sister doggies and four human foster brothers and sisters. I love car rides – if you are going somewhere, don’t be surprised when I beg you to take me with you. I was boarded at the vet’s office for about 8 months so I am learning about new sounds and new people now that I am out of my cage and going places with my foster family. I am doing well with the new things I’m encountering. I didn’t know any commands, but I have learned NO, and I am learning to COME, and to SIT. I love treats and will try really hard to do what you want if you have a treat for me. I love to go on walks, and runs and am told I do really well being on a leash. I have met and played with a few of the neighbors dogs and like them too. I have met LOTS of people with my foster dad, and love women, and kids even the pesky little ones that crawl around on the floor and reach up and grab your face. I am a little afraid of some men, but I get over that easily after a couple minutes once I realize they are not going to hurt me. I am told I am a great dog to have around, I have had no accidents in the house, or in my crate at night. I am very alert and responsive to what my foster family says, or does. They are really good to me here, but would REALLY love to find my forever home.

P.S. If you have cats, that’s OK. I don’t mind them much either.
