Nala was Adopted!!







I just thought I'd give you an update! We are doing great. Nala is now Georgia (not that she knows a difference!) and we are doing wonderfully. She now knows that we are her people and had really started to fit in well with our little family. She and Boo couldn't be closer, even though he can be kind of a pest. We love our Georgie-Porgie and now can't imagine life without her. She is wonderful with children (thanks, Jake, Christina and Claire for that!) and always looking for a head or belly rub.

Jake - I hope things with Dapple Dan are going well! Many thanks to you and your family for taking such good care of our girl before we could have her.

Nala is an absolutely fabulous girl!

She is currently in foster care and doing wonderfully. Here is what they have to say about her:

She is good with cats and great with younger and older kids. She lover her sister Marley a Pit Mix, they enjoy playin tug-a-war and just rompin around the back yard together.

She is great with other dogs of any size also. Inside she loves to lay at your feet just enjoyin life. She loves to chase shadows on the floor for hours on end. She is house trained fully and crate trained.

Nala is a great walking dog, very good on a leash. She is deaf but has learned hand signs very easy. She has learned to sit. She will come to when she and see your hand sign. We have been working on stay and lay down. We are almost there, but we are still young and want to play sometimes. She is a great dog for anyone and very easy going. Even though she is deaf doesn't mean that harder than anyother dog out there, it mean that she better than the others. All she wants to do is please you and manke you smile.

Gorgeous Nala lost her home due to BSL. She escaped her yard and found herself in the local animal control on deathrow because of her breed.

Nala is fabulous. She quickly became a favorite with our kennel volunteers while she was in boarding. She is now in foster care and doing fabulous. She is outgoing, friendly and a complete joy to be around.

Nala is deaf, you wouldn't really know it by being around her as she is so intune to her surroundings and reads situations well by watching. She's extremely responsive. She will require a home though that understands her disability and is prepared to deal with it.
