Maud is a gorgeous, super affectionate 2.5 year old female Mastiff Mega Mix. 70lbs of goofball. She loves her toys and hanging out with her people. She currently goes to daycare twice a week and plays well with other dogs there.
She does have issues with fear based overstimulation leading to reactivity (mostly limited to people, especially children, but sometimes dogs if she is is leashed)
She is territorial to other dogs in her own home and needs to be an only dog. Not sure about cats as she has not been around many.
Her meds help greatly and she should continue with them. She is on 20mg of Paroxetine (Paxil) and mg of Clonidine twice a day as prescribed by Dr. Wayne Hunthausen at Westwood Animal Hospital. an increase of Paxil may help change current behavior but I don’t have the luxury of time to wait the 3-4 weeks to see.
