Young, Sweet, Certified Cuddling Specialist and Squirrel Watcher Seeking a Forever Family

Back Story:
I didn’t exactly have the best start. I was dumped in winter in extremely rural Arkansas. A nice woman who helps abandoned pets down there took me in, got me healthy, taught me about indoor living, and showed me what it feels like to be loved. She said I was so sweet and easy that she would’ve kept me forever, but knew I deserved my own family, so she sent me to the big city in search of my people.
My Personality:
I might look tough, but I’m really just a sweet, sensitive creampuff. Friends describe me as affectionate, gentle, silly, and ridiculously lovable.
My favorite activities include:
- Chasing squirrels
- Watching squirrels
- Monitoring squirrels
- Playing with toys
- Chewing my chewies
- Snuggling on couches
- Getting tummy rubs
- Sleeping in your bed
- Leaning against you whenever possible, or sitting on your feet
- Belly crawling through the grass
- Making new friends (2 and 4-legged)
- Looking adorable without trying
I’m fully potty trained, I get along great with other dogs, I adore my toys, and I adore people. I’ve noticed that whenever I’m in a new house for a couple days I’m pretty shy at first, but once I settle in, my puppy side comes out and I turn into a silly, clumsy, floppy goofball :-)
I’m still very much a country boy figuring out how the world works, so I can get spooked by the sounds of the big city and will need a little time to adjust to a new environment, but every day I get a little braver, a little smarter, a little more confident, and my sweet personality always shines through.
My ideal match is someone who wants a champion cuddler, a dedicated shadow, and a built-in companion for movie nights, road trips, patio hangs, and lazy Sundays. I feel most comfortable around other doggos and would love to have a playful brother or sister – or both! My love language is physical touch. If you’re sitting down, I’ll be right there. If you’re sleeping, I’d very much like to be the baby spoon.
What am I looking for:
- Someone who wants a best friend.
- Someone who doesn’t mind a dog that believes personal space is optional.
- Someone who understands that after a rough start, all I really want is a place to finally settle in, learn a routine, and belong.
- Someone who will work with me the basics – like leash walking, basic obedience, and continued socialization.
- Someone who will keep me safe and secure while I’m still adjusting to life in the city.
- A home with at least one other friendly dog to help show me the ropes! Being around other dogs builds my confidence and I’d love a BFF!
In return, I offer loyalty, endless affection, excellent snuggle skills, and a face that people can’t help but stop and compliment.
