This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen County Animal Rescue Facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. If you are interested in adopting Lexi, please fill out our online application.

Lexi is 1 year and 4 months. She is a little ball of energy she loves to run and play. Though she can be picky about her dog friends, she gets along great with cats and kids and she’s been around babies as well. She isn’t fully housebroken but with a good routine she’ll show you how eager she is to please. Lexi is full grown at roughly 40 pounds. Lexi was at a small town pound in Southeast Kansas running out of space when her luck turned and a shelter was able to take her. Sadly, this shelter is running out of room as well and Lexi is running out of time. Help Lexi find more luck with her forever home in the city!
