I’m BeeGee and I’ve been working hard to learn how to be a pet and I’m so smart I’ve almost got it all down! I’m always happy and love playing with people and attention but I get overwhelmed sometimes and like to spend some time in my crate until I’m feeling good again. I love to go for walks but am not excited about running. I’m more of a ‘stop and smell all the blades of grass’ type of girl!
I’m completely house trained and kennel trained and am learning obedience commands. There’s a lot to learn in this new world! I’m a very curious girl and like to observe the noises of the world and locate the source of the sounds I hear. I don’t have much experience around other dogs so I’m a bit nervous but I do like to play if you give me some reinforcement and don’t rush me. I was rescued during the second largest dog fighting ring bust in US history. A total of 367 dogs were rescued in a 7 state operation after a three year investigation by the FBI, HSUS and ASPCA. I’m one of the lucky ones and never had to fight but, before last August, the only thing I knew was an 8 foot circle of dirt and a heavy chain around my neck. I was released in February and my foster mom from MABBR came and picked me up! I’ve been working hard to learn how to be a pet and I’m so smart I’ve almost got it all down! I need someone who is able to help me learn more about the world and will be patient when I ask you over and over ‘what’s that?’. I love when you tell me that I’ve done something right or I figured it out…nothing beats the feeling I get when I see that I’ve made you happy!
