This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen County Animal Rescue Facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Mickey is a 2 year old pitbull beagle mix. This funny little guy has all the silliest personality traits from both breeds he is mixed with and we think he is just the cutest thing ever. Mickey has lived the majority of his life in a shelter environment, but with the help of his foster, he is learning how to be a great dog. He learns well from other dogs and will definitely need a confident canine companion in his forever home. Mickey is terrified of most things in life, including cats and small children. He will need a patient and adaptable owner to help him be more comfortable and confident. All in all we believe Mickey is a wonderful, goofy guy and he just needs some time and patience to show the world his true self!
