This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen County Animal Rescue Facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Monica is just under 2 years old and the sweetest dog ever. Whether it be walks, a jog, swimming, or just cuddling on the couch, Monica is ready for any adventure with her people. Monica is always excited to make new friends and plays well with other dogs. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and personality types. She is nervous around cats, but could come around with slow and proper introductions. Monica absolutely loves her people and prefers kids over 10 years old that are a little more aware of dogs and personal space. She is enthusiastic about learning new tricks and is mostly housebroken, as she has minimal accidents in her kennel. Monica is about 60 pounds of goofy playful love and would be an excellent addition to a home looking to add a happy-go-lucky companion.
