Ruckus is a one-year-old male neutered mixed breed dog with a huge heart and a zest for life. His early days were confusing to him as he didn’t get any structure or training. He was really high energy and too much to handle for his disabled owners. He is starting to settle more now that he’s no longer a puppy. Luckily he became a rescue resident at Lily’s Play-N-Stay in Belton Missouri. He stayed there for approximately five weeks in order to get him better socialized and so that he could learn manners.
Stephanie Taylor of Pawsitive Impact Training was generous enough to help us to obedience train him, so now he’s not only handsome he’s also much better mannered. She worked with him during his stay at Lily’s and was so impressed by his progress that she volunteered to foster him at her home to continue the training in a home environment.
He is great with and loves to play with all dogs and has done so both at the doggy daycare in all play groups and at Stephanie’s house with her dogs and the dogs she boards there. He was raised with cats and does not have an issue with them and he has done very well with Stephanie’s 18-month-old baby.
Ruckus is up-to-date on vaccines and has been fecal and heartworm tested negative. He would require a large fenced in yard and other dogs to play with. A doggie door would be awesome so he could let himself out when he needed to urinate. This dog is quite the lover, he loves to cuddle up on the couch and watch TV with you. He particularly likes to watch The Bachelor!
Ruckus needs and deserves that furever family they can provide him the structure and the space to live his best life!
