This handsome guy is Angus. He is about 2 years old and 80 lbs. of muscle and American Bulldog pouty face. Angus has been thru a lot in his short life and was likely kept outside as he was unable to get along with his intact litter mate. He was relinquished to the shelter heartworm positive and heartbroken.
This gentle giant is extremely strong and is working on leash manners as he was likely never walked before. Angus is very vocal and has shown tendencies towards separation anxiety in a home setting. He will need a firm but patient owner as he transitions to living in a home. Angus is eager to please and extremely loving but his size is a factor for most households as he has no spatial awareness. He is still learning how to interact appropriately with other dogs but would do best as an only dog for now as we are still learning about him. Angus is learning not to jump but he could easily knock over young children. He doesn’t seem to mind cats but whether or not he could live with one is still unknown. Angus is currently in our boarding facility and looking for a foster or forever home.
MABBR is entirely funded by donations. Our expenses include pet vaccinations, spaying and neutering, parasite treatment, and medication for any pets with special needs. Additionally, we must pay for boarding for dogs waiting for foster homes to become available.
